Dr Yeoh Swee Choo

Background

Dr Yeoh Swee Choo is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at the Mount Elizabeth Medical Centre.

She received her MBBS from the University of Singapore, Master of Medicine (Obstetrics and Gynaecology) from the National University of Singapore and Doctor of Philosophy from Oxford University. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (London) and of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore.

Previous positions held include Senior Lecturer, Consultant Special Grade at the National University Hospital, and Deputy Head of the Centre for Molecular Medicine, National University of Singapore. She was a member of the Medical Advisory Board of Mount Elizabeth Hospital and has authored several scientific papers. Among several academic awards, she has won the MRCOG Prize Medal, the 4th Asia Oceania Congress of O&G Gold Medal and the Vera Brittain Visiting Fellowship, Oxford University.

Dr Yeoh has wide-ranging interests in obstetrics and gynaecology. In particular, these include feto-maternal medicine and general gynaecological practice. “In-Clinic” servicesservices include high-resolution first and second trimester ultrasound scanning, gynaecology ultrasound scans, amniocentesis, colposcopy and other minor gynaecological procedures. Surgical interests include laparoscopic surgery as well as general gynaecological procedures.

In addition to clinical practice, Dr Yeoh serves on the National Medical Ethics Committee and is a member of the Panel of Medical Experts, Subordinate Courts, Court Mediation Service, Singapore. Dr Yeoh was also an examiner for the Master of Medicine (O & G) examinations, National University of Singapore.
