Nephrology or Renal Medicine is a branch of medicine that deals with the diagnosis of kidney diseases, treatment of kidney diseases (e.g., dialysis, medications) and follow-up of kidney (renal) transplant patients. Many nephrologists also provide medical care in the area of electrolyte disorders and hypertension.
