Surgery relating to restoring of the blood supply to the heart, coronary artery bypass grafting, heart valves repair or replacement and the great vessels in the chest, including heart transplants.
General Thoracic Surgery
Surgery relating to lung cancer, tumors of the lung/chest wall, emphysema, esophageal swallowing problems, lung transplants, esophageal cancer and gastroesophageal reflux.
Congenital Heart Surgery
surgery relating to the correction of heart defects, e.g., hole in the heart, and furnishing cardiovascular support to infants and children (also includes heart transplantation for children).
