Dr. Sitoh Yih Yiow is a Consultant Physician and Geriatrician at the Mount Elizabeth Medical Centre. He is also currently the Chairman of the Continuing Medical Education Committee at Mount Alvernia Hospital.

He received his MBBS (1991) from the National University of Singapore and obtained his Membership of the Royal College of Physicians of the United Kingdom in 1996. He was also awarded a Higher Manpower Development Programme (HMDP) fellowship by the Ministry of Health, Singapore in 2000, during which he had the privilege of working as a clinical fellow with the Institute of Bone and Joint Research of the University of Sydney, and the Bernard Curran Rehabilitation Unit of the Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Health Services of Northern Sydney in Australia. He went on to complete his Specialist Certification in Geriatric Medicine by the Joint Committee on Specialist Training & the Specialist Accreditation Board, Ministry of Health, Singapore in 2001.

Dr Sitoh is an active member of the Society for Geriatric Medicine, Singapore, the Australian Society for Geriatric Medicine and the American Geriatric Society. He presents regularly at local and international scientific meetings organized by professional bodies. In addition, he is actively involved in the teaching of both undergraduate and postgraduate students in different aspects of Geriatric Medicine and is a part-time lecturer with the Faculty of Medicine, National University of Singapore.

Dr. Sitoh has extensive experience in the assessment and management of geriatric syndromes and has a special interest in geriatric rehabilitation, osteoporosis and other rheumatological conditions in older persons, and dementia. He has published widely in local and international journals, concerning a range of topics that include dementia, swallowing problems, falls and osteoporosis as well as concerns pertaining to health services.
