Dr. Lam Mun San is a Consultant Infectious Disease Physician at Mount Elizabeth Medical Centre. She is currently a member of the Infection Control Committee of Mount Elizabeth Hospital, a Visiting Consultant to the Singapore General Hospital and a member of the Society of Infectious Diseases.  She is also an appointed member of the medical panel for Medical Mediation—Primary Dispute Resolution Centre, Subordinate Court.

Dr. Lam was previously the Head of the Traveller’s Health and Vaccination Centre at Tan Tock Seng Hospital and a Consultant Infectious Disease Physician with the Centre for Disease Control at Tan Tock Seng Hospital. She received her MBBS (1983) and Master of Medicine (Internal Medicine)(1988) from the National University of Singapore. In 1991, she was awarded a Fellowship in Infectious Diseases by the Ministry of Health, Singapore.  She spent 2 years as a Fellow in Infectious Diseases at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston (Harvard Medical School), USA.  She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (U.K)(1989) and the Academy of Medicine, Singapore (1995).

Dr Lam is an author and co-author of many publications in international peer-reviewed journals, regional and local medical journals as well as guidebooks on infectious diseases and travel medicine.  She is also an ad-hoc reviewer for the Singapore Medical Journal, and the Annals of the Academy of Medicine.
